Krugman's Econ Prize
Oct. 13th, 2008 08:57 pmThere is, as you might imagine, a lot of blogtalk about Paul Krugman winning the pseudo-Nobel Prize in economics. A one sentence summary of the most sensible comments might run "this is a prize for Krugman's indubitably revolutionary academic work, not for his controversial political commentary."
I could link to many places, but I'll limit myself to two excellent commentaries by two economists roughly in my vicinity in ideology-space: "Honoring Paul Krugman" by Ed Glaeser; "Paul Krugman Wins the Nobel Prize" by Tyler Cowen.
