So, groups consisting of individuals with extremist tendencies are more likely to change their beliefs... presumably, than groups not containing extremists.

That's surprising, if true. My intuition is that the beliefs of an extremist group are less subject to change.

Unless we're talking about changes of beliefs, etc, that are consistent with the pre-existing beliefs?

I'm unsure.
