I have tried the new Starbucks chocolate beverage "Chantico". It's overkill, but I've always been an overkill guy. The name comes from the Aztec goddess of hearth and fire. Chantico was said to provide homes with warm comfort and heat for cooking. For the Aztec culture chocolate was a luxury item and often used as currency. I recommend against this plan; it will lead to severe deflation, as everyone will drink their money.

Yummy money

I seem to remember playing poker and using M&M's for chips. I never seemed to have much to bet with though, even though I was winning quite a few hands, wonder why?

I was kind of impressed that it was a reasonable (not wussy but not sludge) hot chocolate from a coffee shop. I don't think it'd make a very good currency. less appealing when cold, always flowing away from you if you aren't careful...

On the other hand, money would grow on trees...
